Time has come to sell my pride and joy, I don’t really want to sell but can’t afford to have 3 cars!
Clean Genuine 1987 Holden Calais Series II
Bought the car in 2006 as a project car to do the turbo conversion etc with 268,000ks. Put all the bolt-ons on my A6 engine got it running ( high comp turbo setup ), needed a few things for RWC – New front windscreen, New front & rear sway bar bushes and Front Z bar bushes ( super pro polyurethane ), New Tie Rods and Tie Rod ends, New Boot floor from rare spares welded in.
Got the RWC in 2008 and drove around like this for awhile gradually doing things, VLT diff, R33 auto to manual conversion, brakes etc. Took the car off the road this time last year, put a genuine rebuilt VLT A8 motor in. Car now has 278,000ks didn’t drive it much, more of a w/e car, so everything I’ve done to the car has had very minimal use.
Car has an unregistered vehicle permit for the next 28 days so can test drive
Car Has following:
Full Rebuilt Genuine VLT A8 motor with receipt
VLT Brown top injectors
VLT Inlet plenum
VLT Exhaust Manifold
VLT standard T3 turbo, running stock boost
VLT 28 Spline 4 pinion LSD diff, Rebuilt centre ( with receipt ) 2010 and shimmed up extra tight! (less than 5000ks)
VLT 28 spline axels with near new bearings & seals
Pedders adjustable panhard rod
VLT 3 core radiator
Pacemaker 3” Front/dump pipe, into new Magnaflow highflow 3” cat converter, into 3” resonator at the rear, all mandrel bends
VLT auto computer ( can run manual )
VLT double diaphragm brake booster
VLT 1” master cyclinder ( rebuilt, bought off these forums )
VLT front brakes, New DBA slotted rotors all round, new bendix heavy duty pads, callipers overhauled with new seals etc, new front bearings. ( less than 5000ks )

Brand new Front ball joints left & right ( less than 20ks )
Polished Calais rims
King Springs super lows all around with Monroe Gas shocks
Near new tyres Bridgestone Turanza tyres up front, Diamondback on rear, at least 95% tread!!!!
Kenwood CD/MP3 with AUX Head unit, 6x9 pioneers on custom rear MDF parcel shelf
Black Widow Alarm/immobilizer, with shock sensor and 2 remotes
Still has original Calais boot carpet with Calais rim as spare ( 85% tread )
New baileys channels for front windows fiitted from rarespares
New Diff arms from pedders
New rubber bushes in rear trailing arms
Auto meter Boost gauge
Won’t need much for RWC if anything
Runs really well starts first time every time, pulls nice and hard! Just done a service on it, new oil Penrite HPR30, new filter, coolant flush. Car rides nice and smooth with all the new bushes and new springs/shocks! No funny knocks or creaks
Calais rear boot strip painted in 2pac Gloss black, looks great!
All electrics work, all windows, pwr mirrors, Calais pop up motor, Electric Antenna, all dials on Calais instrument cluster work
Some rust starting to show up in the usual positions ( under front & rear windows )
No air con or cruise control, comes with cruise control module, never got around to fitting it
Comes with old n/a A6 motor if you want it for free!!! Have engine crane here to load it onto ute/trailer
Also comes with my old Gregory’s VL commodore manual + new spare CAS + spare AFM with airbox lid
