Got a set of Calais pop ups all working as they came off my old Calais, I don't have the wiring harness to plug them in behind the lights on my berlina so I had to get another relay and do it that way, I have the same relay as relay J ( head lamp relay) have wired it up as per the drawing on this forum and to how everyone says to wire it, 86 - 86 on relay J 30 - +12v 85- ground 87 - pop ups 87a - to pop ups On my pop ups end I have a blue, green, and black wire. Blue and green are up/down so will go to the 87 &87 a respectively not a problem there. The black I'm assuming is ground? If so then when we connected it up this way the pop ups came up....but never went down Has anyone got any pics of how they have done it or have I done something wrong? Or did I miss something. When we turn the headlights on and off we can hear the relay clicking on and off but nothing with the lights Any help appreciated. I know it's been covered before but i couldn't see the problem I was having in there. Also since we put in the other relay and tinkered around my head deck has stopped working ( odd) but the cigarette lighter for example still works? Might just be a complete fluke but it was strange

im no auto elec but. NEXT TIME USE AN IN-*-LINE FUSE SO THIS $%^& DOSE NOT HAPPEN People ruin there entire loom doing this stuff putting a fuse in next time is esier than replacing the loom Get a multi meter cheap and well worth it. when i wired my calais front up to my old exec i just used a 4 post relay use the multi meter to find the switch for headlights and splice off that. always use an inline fuse when ever doing aftermarket elec stuff to your car. but get a multi meter first! Pull your head out and check the fuse behind it (in the dash space) THEN check the fuse in the H/U itself. these accessories are suported by the same fuse in the fuse box but the h/u fuse may be the weakest link so id start there.
