My gearbox is sloppy as i heard you can run a r33 short shifter in a mx7 box. Been told it is my nylon bush but my mechanic told me he replaced it when he last had my car so if he has put a mx7 nylon bush in what is wrong. Do i need to get a mf5 nylon bush or a r33 nylon bush ? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If you have an mx7 you need a bush for an mx7 as the mf5 box has a smaller bush.. It will be hard to get a gear if you have the wrong bush as for the r33 shifter I'm not sure if it will fit because I think the r33 has a different top plate so can't honestly answer that one for you hope that helps..

Their is a thread somewere in here that says a r33 shifter fits and same for the nylon bush. Also the thread says mf5 nylon bush is bigger then a mx7 bush!

I did the manual turbo box conversion and I used an mf5 selector and the bush was to small I went to Holden and got the turbo selector bush and it was fine just had to change the bush on the mf5 selector and all worked perfectly. but as I said I haven't used an r33 shifter so can't help..
