Wasn't enough support last time it was at Heathcote. People say they want it and it would be awesome then don't bother showing up.

I reckon it was good last time at Heathcote. I agree there weren't enough tuff VLs but I think it should be organized! "Who else agrees with me it should be on"?

ye agree it should be on but also can see where duke is coming from. what it needs is some heat i.e someone start a workshop war lol or some rival comp against another make of car, given it wont be purely vlt nationals if the 2nd happens

I'm all for it, I drove from Canberra to go. We can certainly make enquiries about doing it, however this time possibly a pre buy tickets wise needs to happen so someone isn't paying for it all out of their own coin and just hoping that people will bother to turn up.

i think planning would be good , i dont think this year would be a good idea , taking into consideration how much organising is involved , early next year would be a better time id say wasnt the last vl nats around march or april also?

Hey Guys Great to see that there is still great interest in the event, Id love to run another event but based on the time involved and my current financial position it wont be happening this year. Dont get me wrong i haven't culled the idea for next year but its just a lot of work for no real financial gain for the hundreds of hours of my time spent, The last event was successful enough to be basically, be a break even event. Id need a lot more support to make an event like this become an annual event. Based on the above fact id love to run the event at any large venue however to hire a big name track for a day or two, staff, ambulance, fire crew, track prep and the list goes on is big bickies $$$ stuff. Last event we had about 4 months of prep and it wasn't nearly enough however it was a great weekend with some big hitters coming from interstate. Im sure i could organise it better next time. There has been some changes in our company VL TURBO NATIONALS PTY LTD. Paul has decided after the last event that he wouldn't continue as the silent partner and has resigned his share of the company back to me. If your interested in having an event in 2013 please show your interest here. Id also need some interest and major sponsor interest that would be cash orientated not just prizes. The money helps cover some of the thousands of dollars out layed to make an event run. Prizes would also be required as it makes the event more fun. A few people have shown interest in this already. But major cash sponsors will be required first. Taking deposits and payments could help but unfortunately like last time this didn't really indicate to us early enough just how big the turn out would be untill the day of the event. Im guessing as people who own VL's generally arent prepared to make a deposit of money based on knowing just how unreliable our beloved cars are when it comes crunch time. If and when the time comes that i announce the event again at this time i will make pre sale tickets available again. Thanks again guys for your interest Steve

Thanks Steve.. Your last event was a great weekend.. I'm sure there is more than enough VL enthusiasts on and off this sight that would love to come along to another Nationals event next year.. As for major cash sponsors I'm sure there's a few big companies out there that would sponsor this event, it's just a matter of finding them. Come on guys show Steve that we want this event to be back on!!! Thanks Matt
