Well done to James from Kanaris Engines in Resevoir for building this monster of an engine.
It's good to see someone different in the game to come out with this big hp rb engine all built/machined
and assembled in house.
Now it's time to throw it in the wagon and start crunching some numbers
The single cam RB30 made a solid 800hp on 98 octane unleaded petrol on 30psi boost before
initial tuning on C16 race fuel saw figures of 1025hp / 847Ib.ft on 43psi boost
HAVE A LOOK AT THE FULLBOOST LINK BELOW

It does that because engine dynos dont work like a chasis dyno there is no load till you begin your power run, the turbo will not spool till there is load the dyno pulls you have seen in this video were started at 6000rpm for tuning and testing purposes.
This means that the dyno will not simulate driving loads till 6000rpm therfore creating load from there on which will make the turbo spool

01-07-12, 12:45 GMT+10#14 kind of like a car in nutral at 6,000 rpm. then it stutters as resistance is added.
