So I assumed your only doing door windows and rear window? Depends how they are mounted? Mine are on fiberglass door and have a recess where the og glass normally is that they screw to, I have perspex ones also that fit in a standard metal door and slide into the window groove where the glass usually goes, they are just screwed to a bit of alloy angle then screwed up into the door, they dont open. To bend them you have to get them pretty hot, I found over 150deg was the trick, then let them cool on the og glass. But if they slot into the window channel you wont need to bend them, they should hold shape.

Go 5mm (or 6 if you cant get any5mm) imo, i work with this stuff often for other things and 3mm is way too flimsy, The stuff is so flexible you wont have much trouble doing the rear window yourself too

3mm is half the weight of 6mm

Yeh fair enough but is it strong enough? Is there a safety standard for impact resistance on side windows?

Impact resistance? Seriously?
Every race car I know uses 3mm polycarbonate, any thicker and it's hard to work with and probably won't fit the the original glass Chanel. Glass certainly ain't 6mm thick.

If i was doing my windows i'd also use 3mm
