I've started experimenting with restoring badges Silver Holden Badge Silver Executive Badge White and Silver SL Badges I'll get more photos as I do more and I've also done a White Holden Badge and a Silver Berlina Badge Was wondering if there would be much in doing this, if people would be interested in having this done cheaply?? As its cheaper than getting brand new badges. Can do pretty much any colour but Silver would be cheapest to do for me Cheers, Steve Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeah i did it but they werent this good. i was doing it as a side to doing them on my own car. i thought they were bloody good but there was little to no interest here and when i threw them up on ebay i started getting complaints that the paint wasn't perfect. its more effort than its worth unless you have some method of making them pretty much nos. I didn't. (but hey they were alright in the big scheme of things. I still give them out freely when people are in need.) can't find any pics but they looked pretty good. everyone has a different perseption of what is good enough though and that became the problem. theres no $$ in it. ---------- Post added 01-06-12 at 12:18 ---------- not a great pic but pretty proud of my calais badges.

yeah your processes would be much better than mine then. i'd do a tonne of them and then sell them for a set price per badge. there is definately interest from people to lazy to do it themselves but you have to have a very good product to offer. pictures loook good but if you have access to a HD DSLR that would do your sales wonders.

Old thread revival. I've done my berlina badge gloss black and silver paint pen. I'm happy with the accuracy but the silver is lumpy. I'm thinking a very light sand might be the go, then clear. Thoughts on what grade?
