SOLD!!! SOLD!!!! For Sale? Or Wanted? FS Price/Amount 7000 Open to Swap? Maybe State QLD Short Description for title? VL Turbo,Microtech, New Everything Genuine Turbo Motor? A8? No Transmission? MANUAL Currently Registered? No REGO/VIN Number? - Contact Info Other than this Forum? [phone removed] Description 1987 VL SL Commodore sedan SOLD!! This car has been a long going project that now unfortunately must go, I have spent absolutely thousands on this car, It is a Factory Non-turbo 5 speed manual VL SL, It has now been rebuilt & converted to a turbo manual, It has had no expence spared, In short: Paint 5-6 years old, Rebuilt A6 motor, Factory turbo setup, 3" exhaust, GTR intercooler, Microtech ECU, factory 5 speed manual box, New turbo brakes, All new suspension, Mint Calais/Series 200 cross interior, ....new everything, read for more info, Not even been on the road since rebuild yet, The car was painted approximately 5-6 years ago in Mercedes Arctic white with a fine gold pearl, It has all colour coded Bumper's, Mirror's, side strips etc, The paint is still good but does have a few very minor marks that you must look for to see, No show car but better than an average example, The body is in good condition & has only a couple of very very minor rust spots that have remained the same in all the time I have had it, There is a spot near the rear window rubber, There is NONE under the rubber, I have had the rear window out when I changed the roof lining, It has a brand new windscreen, new headlights, new indicators & taillights fitted, New arial & I fitted some very good chrome door handles, It has a brand new front bumper fitted, Not from damage, It once had SS style front bar that was broken & side skirts, I took the skirts off as I bought a stock bar & they looked stupid with standard bars, The Sandlewood (Tan) interior is a mixture of Series 200 (Limited edition VL) & Calais & is all in exceptional condition, The interior is worth thousands alone, It has the series 200 seats & door trims & Calais Roof lining, Calais interior lights, quarter glass surrounds, Console lid, glovebox lid & Calais dash cluster, Many parts new, It took a long time to round up all the interior parts, Has a new wiper switch, indicator switch etc, New Brown Factory ("Kangaroo") carpet, No longer available, I also custom made a parcel shelf with some new Calais material (also no longer available) It even has new clutch & brake pedal pads, It has remote central locking fitted with an alarm & immobiliser & Solex locks in both front doors & the boot, The motor is an A6 motor built by T.A.S Performance in Toowoomba, (by previous owner) It apparently has "Forged pistons" but I have no way of proving or confirming this, Everything else I was told about the motor checks out, there are all the obvious signs of new gaskets, welsh plugs etc, The motor has definatly been built & the previous owner had no reason to lie about it, The motor has a new turbo head, new/completely rebuilt factory turbo, Factory turbo intake manifold, exhaust manifold, injectors etc, Malpassi rising rate fuel regulator, It is built to factory specs with the apparent "forged pistons" & is pretty much a factory turbo set-up with the addition of a GTR front mount intercooler & a 3" Mandral bend exhaust with a high flow cat & straight through muffler, It is running through a Microtech ECU & has a soft & safe tune by "Godzilla Motorsport" to 9 PSI, I had it tuned to 9psi to be safe as I can not confirm the forged pistons so I treated it as if it does not, New intercooler & intake piping, It has just had a FULL service & new 10mm leads etc fitted, then tuned etc by Mark @ Godzilla Motorsport, I have painted the rocker cover in factory style "Wrinkle Red" to match, It has a new Heavy duty "Excedy" clutch & has a new Radiator & battery fitted, The suspension is also all new, It has Brand new "ultra Low" King springs & new matched Monroe shocks fitted, A Fulcrum adjustable panard rod, All new Pedders neoprene bush's etc through the entire car & has just had a wheel alignment by Sam @ Pedder's Capalaba, It has disc brake rear and new slotted rotor's all round with new Brake pads, It has the "turbo" brakes fitted with a new (turbo) double diaphram brake booster & 1 inch master cylinder It is currently on 15x6" pursuit rims with new 205/65/15 tyres on the front & new 15x7" rims with new 225/60/15 tyres on the rear with 4 brand new center caps & chrome nuts, I am however looking for a set of mag wheels (17,18,19 inch etc) to fit as I would like to keep the steel rims for my other car although I will let them go if a buyer chooses to take them, It has a brand new fuel pump & a fully cleaned & reconditioned fuel tank fitted, The car has not yet seen the road other than driving it home from pedders etc a couple of times, It still needs a boost gauge fitted (has an old 1 but I dont like it) which will be done before sale & is currently unregistered but will be sold with Rego & R.W.C Can be sold as is cheaper if wanted I have lots of progress photo's I can provide to the buyer to prove the work & parts fitted, I am sure there is much more that I am forgeting, SOLD!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
