Well after embracing the vl life fully I can finally restart my project I have owned the car almost 3 yrs and has been on the road 6months the remaining time has been spent in storage as I havnt had enough room to have it my house or time to work on it so after moving into a bigger house I can finally restart work on it. The car arrived today in one piece just was a scary trip with a shonky rental trailer that wouldn't let me go above 70 and only having my heavily pregnant mrs to help me load and unload it it is now resting in my garage like it was meant to be there So the car is an 86 vl exec in alpine white body has done 250k and in excellent condition most of the rust has been cut out just a small patch in the boot to go it has a 25det in it but it's comin back out to get completely overhauled built and forged over the next few months same as the gearbox diff and it's getting a custom drive shaft as well I'm still undecided on what I want the end result to be used for ATM but I've got plenty of time for that kind of leaning towards and all rounder that can be cruise able The interior has been completely stripped out just the wiring remains an all the sound deadening all to gome out as well to make way for a fresh new start not to sure about the interior ATM but plenty of time for that That's all for now I'll try and upload some pics later of how it is now and I'll try and post updates when they happen cheers for reading Brenno

sweet mate. what kind of turbo/gearbox combination you thinking about?

Not sure about turbo probably one of the larger size garrets atm but not obnoxiously big looking at a power glide on the trans side ATM going to see what the engine puts out when it's finished kinda looking for a bullet proof combo from the start not looking blow wads of cash out the side of the block or gearbox on the first run the car is getting a full respray in a metalic glacial blue custom mix it's just good to start working on it again

Time for an update Car is now on stands engine bay completely stripped out and ready for cleaning and tidying up a ****load of work required interior is completely gutted and ready for a revamp to bring the car into the modern ages lol got the engine build underway but in the meantime for mock up purposes it has a new 25 going into it all that's left to come out is the gearbox diff and driveshaft Wich are all getting replace with custom items gunna keep the details under my hat for now pics still coming can't seem to upload them for some reason bug will try figure that out soon as well
