I posted this in another section and relised it was not the right one.
Has anyone built one yet and what was your setup and dyno figures
I am in the prosses of building one at the moment
Have you heard of what turbo size and how much power at all.
My motor build is as follows
Spool 3.4L stroker kit
CP forged pistons 8.7 cr
Spool billet main caps
spool girdle
Bullet CNC rb26 head
Bullet CNC inlet plenum
Bosch 2200cc injectors (going to run E85)
Tomie Solid lifters
1mm oversized inlet and exhaust valves (supertech)
Aftermarket springs (Dont know brand yet)
270deg 10.8mm lift inlet cam
280 deg 10.8mm lift exhaust cam
ATI balancer
6 boost exhaust manifold
PT6766 turbo 1.00 Exhaust housing
50mm turbosmart wastegate
4 stage barnes dry sump pump with 3 gallon tank
Custom Alloy sump
600x330x81 PWR intercooler

Why such a small turbo?? Circuit racing or sprints???

if you are asking what power you should expect you shouldnt be building one of these motors

Im going this size turbo as i will be using it for track work. Kyle from 6boost recommended this turbo to me. As kyle deals with turbos alot i will go with what he sugessted. I have bought from klye before and been happy with the setups he suppiled. This is not the the first motor that i have built. Ive had rb25/30s. My last motor was rb26 with a 25 neo head that made 565rwhp on 21 psi but didnt like the lag and torque curve. That is why i am going this turbo with a larger capacity motor. I have been told around 700 to 800 rwhp with this turbo. Was just asking what other people thought.

thats a question you should be asking your engine builder or tuner, you wont find your answer on here, there is only one way to tell put it in and tune it sounds like a good engine tho

Limited by the turbo, so 800ish HP at the flywheel.
Realistically you have just spent 100K without even thinking about it. To justify an engine combo like that I hope you have a chassi that works.
Anyone who has been around the car scene long enough to utilise an engine like that will know how much power it will make. You either have more money than common sense and are new to the car scene or b) you are just day dreaming had some free periods at school.

As i said this is not the first time i have built a motor. I have had rb25/30 that blew up from the oil pump breaking, A rb25/30 that i sold and a rb26 with25 neo head that i didnt like the way the torque curve and turbo lag was that i have sold. The pt6766 is rated at 935hp so i cant se it being limitet to 800 hp at the fly wheel. Im only going so serious with this motor because i have been stuffed around with my last motors going to engine builders that say they know what im talking about. The block has already been in and had all the machine work done to it. Just waiting for the crank to show up now. Im hoping to have it all finished in September. Reason for taking so long is that my engine builder is going to america for 10 weeks.6boost is confident that it will make 700rwhp on 30psi. And i dont see how people think it is so expensive. Motor wont owe me no where near 100k with the lot.I will be going up to take some photos soon and will post them up if i can work out how.

21-05-12, 22:59 GMT+10#12 I don't understand the rb26 with a 25 neo head....Did you put a neo head on a 26 bottom end? And if so, dafuq???

21-05-12, 23:09 GMT+10#13 Yeah thats what it was. Thats what you get when you got to a engine builder that reckons he knows what he is doing. Not gonna mention any names. Needless to say i dont go there to get any engine work done anymore. It made good power but wasnt what he was telling me it was gonna be in torque and response wise.

22-05-12, 00:56 GMT+10#14 Precision turbo's are great units, for example:
GTX42R - 1100hp (rated) 76mm compressor, 82mm turbine
PT7675 - 1150hp (rated) 76mm compressor, 75mm turbine
I can see a 66mm precision being rated to 900..

Thanks dude. I will be getting it tuned on a engine dyno as my tuner says he can get more out of it that way.

Fun tyre frying sound good to me. I will take it down the strip to see what it does with that turbo but more want it for track days. I also have a t51r spl if i want to change to that. I am also looking foward to taking it to a powercruise or something like that for some fun. Its more just a fun play around car.
Still looking for a manual steering rack and intermidiate shaft if anyone has one.
