went and checked out a nice gts today. Has sunroof, premium brakes and leather. Any opinions on what a car like this may be worh (with 160k kms) Is manual also, but with that shifting into 4th is met with a bit of resistance and a little crunch. Searching on t56 shows its not all to uncommon. Should it be enough to walk away from the car?

my old t56 had a similar feel but more common from 1st to 2nd gear but no crunching.

rest of the car appears to be in pretty decent shape with kind of blemishes ud expect from a car this age. got brand new leather interior too. Asking 18900. Are these 6 speeds the same as whats bolted to ls1's?

The six spd i had in my vr felt heeps difrent compared to the one in my vy.the gears feel closer in the vr/vs/vt s1 boxs in my opinion as oposed to my ls1 box. Wow thats alot of coin for an early vt

Thats what i thought at first too but the more i looked into it the realistic it sounds. Theres only one other for sale in nsw and its auto with no options and more kays for 14k. Others in other states with similar kays and manual are askin 17.5 ish but still without all the options. My main concern is with the slight crunch goin into 4th. Can a t56 from ls1 just swap bellhousings and away u go?

you could just fix the issue it already has or buy a new t56?

Is a crunch in a t56 mean its all ova or can it be caused by other things? Oil, slave cyl etc?

unsure mate maybe some one else can shed some light? if it crunches when your driving normal it may be more of an issue rather then crunching when your going hard
