any one have proof info besided nizpro claiming that early rb30 blocks - dont run oil/water are stronger ?
i have all 3
early block
vl oil/water lines A6 - has hair line crack on deck dwell #5 stud hole next to water galliery
skyline 89-
all weight the same- bores mm apart same
cant see how possible stronger
also notice early rb30 block has 2 tapped holes on girdle plate in the middle where they crack in hp -
any vailed input welcome

ill like to here from this too .. all i know is that a s2 block has the oil and water for a easy bolt up .

Yes, Series 2 blocks are easier to install a turbo.(ie. water & oil lines). But I don't understand how a NA block would be less prone to detonation or pistion failure. Blocks are hard cast. Unless you had a sh!tty tune there should be no deterioration or strength of the block after normal/safe operation/tune. Slash slash LOL. Cast can weaken with heat but such a large mass like a engine block. I don't know. Seems abit over the top to think of that. Sorry no offense.

no difference that i know off apart from the turbo lines, turbos run stronger internals, nothing to do with the cast of the block?

they recon early blocks are stronger cast and and bores. the cast is the same as RD diesel blocks
bad tune will kill anything i agree 100%.
if i can post the pics of the deck of block i will
