As per EVERY SINGLE other thread EXACTLY the same as this, check your AFM, wiring to it, CAS, dizzy cap, check for vacuum leaks i.e all hose that plumbs into anywhere that holds pressurized air, check wiring and stuff etc. It's been covered once a week for the last 12 years on this website.

as stated in my title cylinder 6 if you take the injector plug off it doesnt drop idol where 1-5 does until you plug it back in So i swapped the spark plug lead and injecter plug to this cylinder and nothing different which is why im thinking either dead injecter or spark plug.. Why would all other cylinders drop idol except for #6??? This problem all of a sudden occured whilst waitn at a set of traffic lights.. The car started puffing smoke and running rough since then it hasnt gone away. Its like it fuelled up all of a sudden or something

Could be blocked injector easy fix or more serious cracked head or head gasket my old vl did same thing started running slightly rough number 6 injector / spark wouldnt make difference checked under oil cap for white oil sure enough it was cracked . The vl is bad for getting coolant air locks in the head as it sits higher then the radiator

Its like it fuelled up all of a sudden or something Alrite, you swapped and checked spark plug lead = easy, all good. swapped the injector plug? It's on a continuous loom! It can only go to no.6 Get an injector test light, plug it onto no.6 plug and check the consistency of the pulse and strength against no.1. I've done this, it's piss easy, and good for conformation that it is a fuel/injector/injector pulsing issue. If it's a pulsing issue, check the loom, plug, and connections at the ecu. I believe all the red colored wires on the bigger connector at the ecu are injector wires. I've had one come loose on me before and cause a misfire. Clearly, you've got it misfiring on no.6! All others are functioning correctly. Thats not were the problem is. You know this much already. Run the car so its doing its thing, turn it off, remove the spark plug straight away (no.6). you should be able to tell if it's fouling with fuel, if you can't, google will tell you how to. If all this doesn't help you, it could possibly be a bent valve not seating properly causing your misfire or stuck closed (but highly doubt it), a bent valve though wouldn't explain your other symptoms! Good luck mate. Hope this helps!

I'd replace plugs first cos cheaper and easier if that dont fix it then go for injector after checking it's getting good signal from ecu with a noide light ( its a test light for injector looms ) if have a good pulse then go for injector .. ---------- Post added 28-04-12 at 23:15 ---------- ha ha i was 1 minute too late to post , good to see it running mint again
