How much and wat modifications have been done. Usually tell take sign that the rings are done for mate, so if the cars nothing too special and not very reasonably priced(depending on your budget) probably stay away

take the oil cap off while engine is idling and see if its blowing hard? if yes, engine is on the way out.

yes, worn rings will cause blow by hence oil spitting out through the rear breather hose filling the catch can rapidly.

breathers are good, done about 25 runs down the strip, 10 dyno runs...nothing has changed.... done 55thousand km's on the motor, still pulls the same power from when i picked it up to get its 1st tune...
