Well if it's just the gasket and you have a bit of mechanical common sense then it should only cost you the price of a gasket kit and some head bolts possibly a de comp plate if you want to be safe. If your paying a mechanic forget it. Just have a go yourself it's easy and it will be a learning expirience. Download the workshop manual and get cracking!!

Buy a cometic head gasket and be done with it, they are re-useable as long as they arent damaged and you can get them in any thickness you need to decomp your engine. How much boost were you running anyway?

Use a cometic head gasket there a bit more costly but as stated reuseable and can achive lower comp ratio so wont blow again. A head stud kits is also good investment . As for manual google is your friend main thing you'll have to get right is head torque and sequence

thanks guys, i am mechanically savy but i want the job done right, im pretty sure it was running 7 to 10 pound, i just took it for a spin and its running alright but mind you that was around the block so it didn't really have time to overheat, i temporarily fixed it with that head gasket fix you put in your radiator but i doubt that will withstand the pressure of the compression the turbo is producing.

Mate you will also have to get the head crack tested and surface grinded to be on the safe side other wise if its ****ed you will waste your money on a gasket
