Hey guys, just wanted to get your opinions on a diff i might be getting. Its a fully re-co'd 3.45 lsd 4 pinion 25 spline axcels for $1550 fitted with my old diff to be traded in. Is this a good deal? Ive been looking for about a month and a half now and carn't seem to find any for what i want and I carnt keep the car off the road for much longer, i searched ebay, gumtree, CT, trading post etc. thanks nick

Well, it cost the first owner of my SS Commodore $1000 to get the diff ratio in the diff changed from 3.45:1 to 3.9:1, that was 9 1/2 years ago, I'm unsure if that included the labour or that was just the parts (I'd have to look at the receipt again) because they did other work to the car (tune & exhaust mods). If it had new gears & LSD centre, etc fitted, $1550 is a good price to pay.

Spewing your in Sydney, Could of put you onto someone to rebuild it just like that but with 28 spline axels (aka, vl turbo) for less then that. You should be able to source something cheaper hopefully.
