Well 'ello fellas,
I would like you guys to tell me if this N/A VL I purchased as a good deal or not;
As my dad was driving along, he spotted this VL in a drive way and an old lady was on the balcony, he decided to talk to this lady and find out more abou tthe car and whatnot, blah blah blah, she hasn't driven the car since last 2011 and has kept it parked outside since then, the cars paint is faded as **** and looks like she had a little accident from behind (the plastic bumber and tail light is smashed not damage to body of the car. this car has 1 dot of rust on the windscreen which is standard with vls, the interior is white, no tears but one spot there is a large stain, now the magic of this car is that the engine only has 58,700kms on the clock , this old lady claims she only used to drive it to and from home to the shops each weekend to dothe shopping, there are brand new bridgestones too.
we offered $850 to buy the car, and she was more than happy to acept, we went over on the weekend to actully pay for the car and do all that other crap, she wasnt home, ill just get a 2nd oppinion from you guys JUST INCASE.
What do you guys think? Cannot post pics yet, i will when i get the chance

19-04-12, 21:32 GMT+10#12 If its an exec that has been in an accident with some damage and needs a paint job... it's an alright buy. I definately wouldn't be paying more than that for it though.
By the sounds of it maintanance isn't high on the priority list for her.

01-05-12, 22:44 GMT+10#15 ok guys bought the car awhile ago, just started to upload some of the pics now, only got acouple before the phone battery died =.= , will post more soon with the car in storage!
thats the engine, normal stuff there had to put a new battery.
started on the first kick, blew that **** for a good 5 minutes then ran perfect!, engine bay was nearly silent, much better than the bay of my VL which is a great sign!
that is a pic of the paint quality on the boot, the roof is much worse and the bonnet is bleh, will get more pics on that. Interior is imac cream coloured, deadset super clean with abit of granny smell.
towed the car to storage, didnt want to drive without rego, car can drive perfectly fine, all this thing needs is a new paint job.
Lmk what you guys think! more pics comming soon i hope.

...and valve stem seals. I agree, I wouldnt have paid any more than you did. You can get one with nice paint, engine and reg for less than what it will cost you to get yours to the same stage.
As long as youre happy with it that's the main point.

My thoughts exactly, as long as he's happy. But in my books, definitely not a bargain, sounds like it was what it was worth. Low km's don't mean anything when you need to fork out cash for new paint etc etc etc.
Having said that, enjoy.
