Hey people! My mechanic at the moment is building me a standard stroke 308 with 10.5 comp,30tho, crane 286 Cam and a little headwork, (old style heads) Not after huge amounts of power, just a nice sounding, reliable, long lasting motor. Now... I really want to put a manual in it but i have a TRIMATIC bolt pattern block, if i re-drill it to TURBO pattern and use the T5 gearbox... What tailshaft can i use? Are the m21's as crap as everyone makes them out to be? Is a manual ok to use with this setup? Pic of my calais the motor is going into, i feel bad doing it because it has not got a single modification as it sits, im not going to butcher it too much so i can take it back to original running gear at a later date, no plans in my lifetime to ever sell it... 165tho kms and still got the tape deck and no window tint... Thanks Guys Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Your Calais is stunning Mate.....Personally I wouldn't change a thing about it but each to their own... If you are going to the trouble of chucking a Manual in, you'd be pretty set with the T5 especially with it having overdrive (5th gear) which the M21 doesn't have.
