ignition wire in vl engine bay

hey guys about to start wiring up a efi 5ltr in my vl and wanted to know is there any ignition wires in the engine bay. i know there is one in the ignition barrel but wanted to try keep the wiring all in the bay. cheers Allan

Pretty sure the starter motor has an ignition wire? Purple if I remember correctly

Nah the purple is the craning wire not ignition wire, any pink wire is ignition, red and orange are battery

Check all plugs mate as there will be ignition wires in the bay just use a test light or a multi meter I'd look for ya mate but all my looms are custom I don't have any factory wires any more, what about the plugs for the auto there's 3 clipped on the firewall above the brake booster ect there's heaps man every injector has 12v aswell as most of ya sensors... Check out Insanevl threads he has wiring diagrams on here somewhere

thanks for the reply mate. my car is factory manual so no wiring. there. all ive got is the wiring for the battery maybe there is a ign wire there ill check it out tomorrow ---------- Post added 11-04-12 at 22:39 ---------- hmmm or maybe splice into somewhere in the fuse box
