Ok, heres the deal My VL is defected. i'm looking at getting a temporary car, for a few months until i can get the vl fixed and through regency. ive been looking at a VN S pack. problem is, the last registered owner sold the car unregistered to the current owner, and the current owner hasnt had it registered. the car has been sitting around unregistered for a good 8 months. no changes have been made to the car. do you think that if i buy it, i will be able to get it registered no hassle? or would it pay me to go into the rego department and ask them? the car has no plates, but i have the last rego number it was registered with. any help/advice is much appreciated, cheers guys :P

My VL had changed ownership without transfer before me. I filled an MR1 form with the last registered owner's name as the person I bought it off... I was asked if that was who I bought it off, I said no but they did t seem to care and proceeded without any dramas.
