hi guys, iv got a 304 blown VS v8 in my patrol and on monday i welded a side mount ladder to the rear underside of the chassis and the top bolts to my roof rack.
now i took the battery teminals off both my batteries to play it safe, but should i have unplugged the computer?
iv checked all fuses, it has fuel and spark so im buggered if i know whats going on..
i only drove the truck the day before i welded the ladder on so im only assuming that it has something to do with that as it drove sweet!
anyway any help wouldbe great!
cheers

Computer is the same as V6, just swap the memcal. Or you can buy one for about $50.

how are you checking that its getting fuel and spark?

checked for fuel by listening to fuel pump and taking the fuel line off while giving ignition a quick turn and yeah its getting fuel!
spark, just took a plug off and put a screwdriver 10mm off the plug while the missus tried to start it, and again i found it had spark! bloody zapped me..
so with the computer are they all the same with the only difference being the tune on the memcal?! that sounds like it will be the cheapest/quickest option!

ok ladies and gents its all sorted!
after chooking around under the hood this arvs checking everything i thought i would ring the bloke who dynoed it, so anyway long story short the memcal has a security code which needs activating(im not saying how though lol)
so did that and broom broom fired up strait away!then went for a hot lap round the block.ha
thanks for the effort lads
