i have a manual vl calais(converted) n/a. i have done a search. found 2 topics and both have said to change cas. did it and nothing. i have a hesitation/miss on takeoff but not through the rev range sometimes feels sluggish but other times it wont, i have changed cas, coil, afm, o2 senser, cleaned air filter(k&n) and replaced fuel filter, also cleaned throttle body. i have no clue what it could be now? anyone else had similar problems?

may sound stupid but check your spark plugs and leads. Incorrect spacing/old tired plugs could cause that. My girlfriend's car had that along with a bad idle, but it cleaned up once revved up past ~1200 rpm, and it was just the plugs. Hope that helps mate

Yeah, check the plugs. They will always tell you what's is going on inside the engine. Relate it back to a spark plug diagnosis chart. (find one on google.) I had this happen to me. It turned out one injector wasn't pulsing properly, I traced it back to a loose wire on the ecu loom plug. That fixed the problem for me. Sometimes it is just the smallest thing?

Usually just caused by the simple things such as :- - Bad spark plugs - Split spark plug boot(s) (that "somehow happened to me in my VY, that's what caused that problem) - Damaged spark plug lead(s) - Bad fuel (that was giving me grief too when I put some shell fuel in one day in the VY) - Air leak at intake manifold (caused hesitation on acceleration with a cold engine in VY) - Air leaks at intake duct past AFM - Worn ,leaky fuel injectors (had this problem in N/A VL with RB30E) - Faulty or maladjusted TPS (caused hesitation on acceleration in N/A VL with RB30E when cold).
