R33 tailshaft

Does anyone know if the front halves of the R33 tailshaft and the MX7 tailshaft are the same length? I have a na auto tailshaft and a spare r33 tailshaft. Im hoping to interchange the two tail ends, to make a MX7 tailshaft.
