Hi guys, I am hoping you can give me some direction with the following: I have a VH SL/E project, which I am currently planning on tubbing (to the rails). I am looking at purchasing a McDonald Bros racing 4-link chassis clip, with 9 housing and plan to use the ford axels and pattern for the rear. I have been advised to purchase the rear wheels and to then order axels to match, once the chassis clip is fitted what are your thoughts here? I have my heart set on some Weld Racing AlumaStar 2.0 series. Thinking 15x15 When researching, I found its not as simple purchasing based as diameter and width dimensions alone; There are many different offsets/backspaces available (ranging from 3.5 to 16.0), which I understand is important to get right. Plus there is the beadloc option. Any advice on selecting the right wheels would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance Nico

Check some of the build thread or feature cars where the owner has had car tubbed. Flick them a message and I'm sure they have been through the same. I'm sure they will be happy to help.

Thanks mate. I ended up going with Weld AlumaStars 2.0 15"x15" with 4" backspace (ford pattern). The guys at rocket industries were really helpful.*
