Ive been searching all the forums but i cant find anyone that's had a similar problem. I'm pretty sure the owner before me converted the vl to a manual and didn't bother hooking up the reverse switch, i wired the switch to the pink and light green wires on the plug near brake booster but now the reverse lights come on when its in neutral and in all gears..but turns off when in reverse??
im thinking shotty switch but does anyone know if it could possibly be another problem before i track down a switch?
this happened to me after my mechanic replaced my manual gearbox, he had the two switches which are located unerneath the car on the gearbox, around the wrong way, i swapped them over, and presto, it works fine now

ive got it sorted atm,just threw a 5pin relay between the switch and the green/pink wires to mirror how the switch was working pretty much,gets me through rego so i cant complain. but next time i change the gearbox oil ill swap them around and see if you're right and they're mixed around..thanks 2beboostn.
