So i just came back from holiday and am back to reality strait away. Basiclly the VLT has decided it doesn't want to boost, it will idle fine and will even drive OK when its not under load. But the moment you give it any juice, it just starts popping and back firing, and it will not hold boost, the boost gauge spikes and jumps around but it will not boost. I have recently taken the car back to where it was tuned, and they have found that cylinders 4,5 and 6 are all running rich. But the first 3 are fine. My question is, has anybody else had this problem? Or have any ideas on what it could be? Im running;TOP GUN 8mm racing leads (could be 10mm dont remember) - 6Months Old Aftermarket ECU Haltech e6x t3 turbo with a Gktech Cooler 3" exhaust from the dump pipe to the rear end - 3 Months old 4" High flow cat - 3 Months old Sard fuel regulator - 3months old ICE Coil - 3months old Bosch 044 -2months old HELP!!!

I had a similar problem when coming on boost would coff and splutter but if I easd it on boost would be fine it was dodgy leads and spark breaking down put new leads and gapped plugs and it's fine now hope that helps

I can give that a shot i guess, but ive already thrown so much money at it. Lets hope the tuners have another vl there, and we can borrow a few of their leads see if it helps at all. Any other ideas guys?

But the fuel regulator is basically brand new, its done 200km IF that. Im leaning towards the Injector drivers on the ECU possibly. Or an open circuit on the last 3 injectors.... i really dont know.... this car has become my nightmare

Sounds like your injectors are staying open. What type of injectors do you have. Size(cc) & Impedance?? & how old are they?? Also what does your ecu support. High or Low Impedance injectors??

Lol I've been accustom to the **** life of owning a Vl for 5 years now, like I've said before owning a Vl is more then a hobby, it's a life style. Hturbo, I'm running standard injectors man, not sure what cc, but they are all low impedance. After doing some reading I think that maybe my ecu is set to multi point injection, so one injector driver controls 3 injectors each. Which makes sense as all the last 3 cylinders 4,5 and 6 are over fueling hard. The ecu is a haltech e6x, and was brand new in the packaging. The injectors had been reco'd almost a year ago, 2 started leaking and where replaced with brand new injectors from repco. I think injector 2 and injector 5.

Im just going with what my tuner has told me. And if each driver was controlling 2 injectors each, wouldn't 3,4,5 and 6 be playing up if that was the problem? Rather then just 4,5 and 6. Originally he said that my ecu must have been setup to multi-point injection. The ecu was installed by another shop, not where i recently got it tuned. All that has changed since i got the car back, was my Oil, and a paper air filter.

Take your spark plugs put & inspect them. If 3 out of the 6 have different darkness of colours(usually black/carbon up from over-fueling), then yes it must be over fueling. If they are all the same. Find yourself another tuner.
