Im looking at buying another vl that had had its rego cancelled due to an epa. If i were to buy it in VIC and bring it back to nsw, do i still need to clear it or can i just get nsw rego for it straight away?

You'll need to inform Vic EPA that the car is now no longer in Victoria and be able to prove it (Towing / transport fee's etc) and they'll cancel it. Then you're free to go and get a roady in NSW.

When I brought the XR6 up from Victoria it had an EPA. I just got a blue slip here and it was all good.
