My mate just bought a BA XR6 a few weeks ago and the other night I was doing a service on it for him and I noticed the bearing in his turbo is really noisy. So, I rang up MTQ today and they said change-over price for a reconditioned unit is $1850+GST. You can get brand new internally gated Garrett GT3582r's for cheaper than that! Then He would benefit from a larger front wheel and housing, but He'd have to get a custom dump made right? What is his best option? Cheers, Locky.
