Anything will do mate.. best bet it to look on ebay and here for a second hand set.
Brand isnt going to make any difference on a stock n/a VL.
Spray em up with some VHT exhaust manifold paint and itll be sweet.
Around $50-$100.
Be prepared for the exhaust studs to snap when you try to unbolt the stock manifold

for the amount of difference it will make you may as well save your money for some extractors like these

Pacemaker extractors are pretty common for n/a vl's and are decent in quality and price, you can find a good set on ebay.

I payed 250 for mine good note n i could tell the difference in raw n/a power lol. but wouldn't pay any more than that. Cash to kw ratio can get out of hand with n/a's pretty easily (desperation can make a man do desperate things) I Put them on my 8th VL n I can say with stock exhaust the car runs better n has more torque at 60-100 km/h than my other VLs with big 2.5 inch zorsts with extractors. Now i don't have to empty my fuel tank trying to keep the thing at 80 km/h up hills. Hate that dropping feeling lol

I've seen a few extractors with 3 into 2 into 1 & my old extractors which were a little different. Have a look in post #13.

I have a stock 2 inch extractors n rusted out stock resonator on my Calais. The holes about fist size n it pops n burbles like n old school v8 not that I'm saying it sounds like a v8 but it acts like it. Better than any 2.5 inch system Iv ever herd for sound but can vibrate due to terbulence. Looking for a 2.25 in system. 2.5 is **** for back pressure n It's actually better/ faster to stay stock on an n/a IMO. 2.5 for stock v8s but every ones experience is different

Not worth the cash IMO unless ur building an N/A monster engine. were the perfect calculated flow is needed. Full mandril bent system, Hi flow this n that. but will u spend that kind of cash on the engine that u will need such exhaust flow I doubt it... You want sound go turbo. U want power go turbo. U want value go turbo. U want reliability don't f&$king touch it.
Also the extractors u spend a lot of money on r going to bolt up to a cheap exhaust any way
Just look at the original manifold lol any thing will flow better than that haha

Also bla bla use can use the original heat shield! I wired it to my extractors looks pretty factory n doesn't move at all. Just get some fencing wire give it a few twists n around any out lest that match up to the holes. Cut the excess n it will look neat az

I get your point Turismo, turbo's are the way to go put for people like me on our P's, we have to wait 3 years to drive a 'high powered' or turbz car. In saying that if you want to spend 200+ buks on set of extractors for an N/A i say why not. May give you a little more grunt but they look a whole lot better than a ****ty 6 to 2 dump exhaust manifold that are standard on NA 30s. If i was born 5 years earlier, for sure i'd have a VLCT, but legally where i live and how cops harass you it would be pointless. Grab a set off Ebay is your best bet, and Pacies are supposedly the best.

I got a set of Maximum Performance Headers off Ebay a few years ago $250 free delivery...when connected to the 2.5 cat back exhaust it gave my SL 5 speed pretty good mid range grunt and a great lumpy note...
