eBay is your best bet. IS this what you're after? http://www.hdt.com.au/VH_Group3.htm For the record its the 380mm Model Type C36 KBA 70024 - Also known as the "CAVILLINO". You may also want to try HDT as I know these were re-released as "CAVILLINO 2"

In all seriousness you will pay $700 minimu for a good condition HDT wheel. If the car in question is not a genuine HDT why not do what I did and buy a momo wheel from eBay that isn't genuine HDT? Mine for instance looks like the HDT wheel but doesn't have HDT embossed, and is 330mm. It is still of a similar era, they generally go from 89 to 92 or so. Pricing around $140 - 160 landed. In good condition and generally all you need do is get a HDT sticker for the horn pad. Sure it's not genuine, but neither is my car.

Believe it or not the "purists" get really peeved if you refer to any HDT car with a build number above 4246 as a "Brock". They're referred to as HDTs from 4247 onwards. GEN I - Peter Brock (up to build number 4246) GEN II - Peter Collorafi GEN III - Len and Sid Penisi (relocated HDT to Sydney) GEN IV - Peter Champion (after a brief stint in Smeaton Grange relocated HDT to Queensland)

Excuse the irrellivancy of this post, as i know its not a brock style momo but i got one like this off ebay for mine, made in 92, honestly i think these are the only style aftermarket wheels along with the brock ones that look good on a VL Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You might want to clarify which Group 3 wheel you want. VH Group 3 VK Group 3 used the "Flyer" 380mm VL Group 3 used a V35 wheel which was also used on the VK Group A (re-released as the "Monte Carlo"). 380mm ---------- Post added 20-02-12 at 12:22 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by xAsh- [View Post] Excuse the irrellivancy of this post, as i know its not a brock style momo but i got one like this off ebay for mine, made in 92, honestly i think these are the only style aftermarket wheels along with the brock ones that look good on a VL The one in your picture is very similar to the VL Group 3 and VK Group A wheels actually. I know of at least 3 owners that have that exact one on their cars and mothballed their original wheels. It's definitely a "Can do" wheel. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Right - this is the Ghibli Type V36 380mm also known as the Ghibli Three. You see this one on the VL Group As and a few other VL HDT models. These are very hard to find but they do turn up on eBay from time to time. The closest you may be able to get is a wheel of an early MX5 as they are the "standard" HDT 380mm diameter but there are no dimples or "thumb horns". Do you also have the the MOMO Steering wheel hub adapter for your boyfriend's car? You need BOTH if this is the first time you're fitting a MOMO. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Spending 800 bux on an HDT momo is hardly worth it when a normal one is a $150, there are some mazda centre pads around that look like a VL group A pad, but they seem rare too.

Depends on the car, budget and level of restoration required. I spent over $1,000 on mine and close to a year searching but it's one of the rarest wheels out there and I was dead set on it for my HDT resto / buiild. To each their own I guess.

That's fair enough, I was referring to the ladies search. Some can be found cheaper but require a recover at around 400.

Is the momo boss kit different to your generic off the shelf boss? specially marked? collapsible style? Also, without me stumbling through your build thread, did your HDT not come with a genuine wheel?
