It has grey bumpers - no plates
White Window surrounds
Small damage around car,
Cant remember if it had crhome door handles
a number ### from memory written on the windshield in white
+a few stickers
Blue Interior/ Aftermarket Steerring Wheel
Newish Looking Exhaust Tip
VR/S rims
Grey exec lights with small damage
I'll have another look but yer,
could of been in some-one's driveway or whatev,
and they're not back from the mines or whatev,
and its been stolen, - dumped
Could be older steal, newly dumped or stolen and broke down?
Pm me if this rings bells
Cops will just leave it there if the VIN dosent match a currentish owner/Registraer they have to contact?
Could be a local fellaz car dunno

you could just tell the police about it

Yeah I have, but Its as if they already know about it,
They'll leave it there until council tow's it to be scrapped?
Or they tow it and sell it at cop-auctions?
They wont release the car if the owner dosn't have proof of VIN/purchase
Like my Red exec, I havent Written down any Vin numbers or previous reg,
So If my exec were to be stolen and I ring the Police with no numbers for them..
They say they haven't found it because ya cant find a "Red" VL with no details,
They can only find numbers,
If you have no numbers for them they just say they havent found it even if
they Know of the were abouts of a dumped similar make/model
Because I asume they don't want VL's on the streets to make for more crime/hoon ect
You have to keep the VIN of your car to recover it, if you don't you won't.
Cops have told me about the old
"VL dumped meanwhile someone reports similar car stolen with no VIN to report stolen so it sits there" It's up to the owner to hunt it down.
Which leaves me to post it up try and help some fellow enthusiest out
I'm sure some-one who has entered the car in some competition to have a number in white chalk on the windsceen MUST be aware of calaisturbo/stolen

exec summary: so they won't release it a car or property to someone unless that person can provide proof that they do actually own the property?
that sounds like a pretty sensible policy and VERY hard to argue with

Yeah thats it..
Awell just guess the poor fella finds his/her car before it goes permantly missing via cops or crooks.
-and learns the importance of keeping a VIN cert for proof of ownership
