Hi, Is it really neccisary to goto a larger capacity/winged sump? Mainly a drag car, but with powercruise/street duties still. Thanks

Id say yes from what you have described there, mostly for the drag, as you launch hard, the oil will want to rush to the back of the sump away from the pick up, not so much street, but yes again for powercruise stuff as well. For the money its pretty cheap insurance for your engine

Ok, what is the main goal? I see a few that seem to just increase capacity, is that enough or do I need winged sections to stop the slosh..

Baffles are what you really want, they stop the oil from sloshing away from the pick up. Increased capacity will go hand in hand with a baffled sump. The extra oil will lower oil temps slightly and just ensure that there is plenty of oil around the pick up, also the more oil you have in there the less work the oil has to do.
