So you're buying a car just to sell it within 28 days? Or... transfer to someone elses name?
If the original owner puts his transfer papers in to vicroads then after 28 days the rego will be cancelled unless a RWC is produced.
You trying to pull a shifty?

You need to put it in to your name with a rwc, then once you sell it the new owner needs to put it in to their name. You're supposed to supply the roady but either way one must be presented 28 days after transfer (or at time of transfer)

You can put it in to your name but you'll need a roady within the next few weeks after that.

Yeh I know I needa get a roady after a few weeks, but if I sell it does the new owner get the same amount of time to get one before the reg is cancelled?

when you sell it if you hand the papers into vicroads then that person has 30 days to get a rwc, or you resuse the current rwc if its still valid as they last 30 days
