hey all need some assistance with trying to sort out an issue with my vl turbo. i started it the other day to move it out the yard and as soon as it fired up the revs instantly sat at 3000rpm and wont drop it just keeps reving high. i have not done anything to it for it to do this. it was driving fine a few days before hand. i did notice there was a small sqreching noise on the exhaust side so i took of the air filter and pipe to the front of the turbo and noticed it had some play in the shaft........can this effect the revs? or any other suggestions? ---------- Post added 05-02-12 at 19:32 ---------- edit had a better look my plenum doesnt look very healthy

i had the same problem fixed it by replacing the idle control unit at the back of the plenum not just the sensors but the whole lot.
