I have a custom sound system in my 2002 Civic, it has a Khicker Subwoofer, Alpine Amp, and Kenwood touch screen stereo. Now just today, when I turned it on, the music was extremely faint, I could barely hear it. I could also here a little bit of static and a whining noise coming from the speakers. The whining noise grew louder as my RPMs increase, and as they decreased became quieter. Every now and then the normal audio would come back on, but only for a few seconds at a time. It did this both with the radio, and when my ipod was plugged in, so I know I wasn't just losing signal or my aux. cord wasn't plugged in all the way. Whats up?

It sounds like it could be an RCA connection at either your amp or the back of your headunit. Check your RCA connections at the amps first mate, that's the easiest first step and if that doesn't work, I would be checking the RCA connections at the back of your headunit.

Ground loop interferance. Check you earthing points? Make sure your head unit is grounded properly

If you can't be stuffed find the ground/earthing issue. You could allways run a in-line filter.
