wouldnt start so i checked spark that was fine, checked fuel to find that i can hear a gurgling noise in the line, but no steady stream of fuel comes out, i can hear the pumps priming, if i block the hose it doesnt build up much preasure either, after i let go a bit of fuel squirts out but then only air? :S could it be my internal pump? im sure its the fuel as the car runs on gas thanks in advance, ---------- Post added 31-01-12 at 14:40 ---------- and yes theres fuel in it, almost half a tank

Fuel Filter probably blocked, possibly never been changed?

i took the hose out of the tank and put it into a bottle, it sucked all 2 litres up within 30 seconds, unscrewed bottom bold on the fuel sender and fuel came out so it has petrol for sure, put another 10 bucks in to be sure its enough but still ---------- Post added 01-02-12 at 19:58 ---------- what are the symptoms of a failed internal pump??

Did you re-install the internal pump in the swirl pot (inside the tank)?

Happened to me a month ago, had spark, had timing but had limited fuel to engine, blocked fuel filter!

my dad installed the fuel pump backwards.... yep...
