hey guys i am converting one of my vls to a injected 5L out of a vn i know the box will bolt up to the motor but has anyone done this already? when i spoke to my transmission bloke he said ill need to get a tailshaft made (thought i would have to anyway) find a flex plate to suit and figure out how to mount the box... is anyone running a th400? if so where do i get a flex plate? how hard was it to fit the gearbox mount? also anyone know roughly how much itll cost for the tailshaft? im going to be running fairly decent power in the car and i know the 400 will take it but just wanted to know if its going to be a massive f@k around.. thanx in advance guys... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I am doing an LS1 conversion and will be putting a T400 behind it into the VL. The Transmission Crossmember that forms part of the LS1 coversion kit will take the T400 without an issue. I have heard that some "tunnel clearancing" is needed, but not much - just on the front corners. I'm yet to see if this will be the case. Tailshaft - I'm getting a custom 500hp rated 3" one-piece tailshaft made up for mine. I've been quoted about $600 for it.

Yeah... not much info around on the 400's behind LS1's... lol... Haven't got the mounts just yet. Looking at getting these mounts from "Redwood on target fabrication" on eBay. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LS1-2-GEN...em 27c1dbbf09 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LS1-2-GEN3-CONVERSION-KIT-SUIT-VL-COMMODORE-6CYL-KFRAME-/170756128521?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27c1dbbf09)
