Im still on Ps so i have a while before i can drive a V8 on the road, im building this car mainly for Powercruises, Powerplay, Summernats, C4C ect. In other words im building her to flog the f*uck out of without worrying when **** breaks lol. Will have rego and blue plates where possible though. Model: Jan 1988 VL Berlina Formula Engine: Was Hi-Comp 4.9L from factory Gearbox: same deal, was Trimatic from factory Suspention: SL King Springs with short stroke Gabriel shocks. Front and rear. Diff: Disk brake 3.08 ratio LSD Paint: Marlin Blue with Purple Pearl (one of the previous owners, bit of oxidation on the boot and roof already) Interior: Spray canned black and ****ed (previous owner) I wont give away much of what ive got planned for the drive-line but basically Im going for a Carby fed 304, standard stroke, e85. Built TurboHydro 3sp from the states, BIG stall around the 4500rpm mark. 3.7 gears, dual 2.5" exhaust with hookers and diff dumps. Standard fuel system for now. Interior i just want to return it to standard blue berlina, with B&M under the factory console. Body wise, never been a fan of single tone VLs, but this has grown on me so much its deffinitly staying, Taillights are VK Berlina but broken so ill replace them with the same deal, shaved/smoothed engine bay with battery to boot install, wich is actually what im up to atm. I need some serious help picking wheels too, OEM wheels are becoming for too popular and im not a fan of chrome so im sort of stuck with steelies atm. Looking for some 15x7s for the ass and will probably wrap them in 225s. If anybody has got some info they would like to share info on how to convert the car to suit the Turbo box i would be very grateful. Last one is a pic of my other ride, 1975 VK Valiant. Worked 265 and 3sp. Dan ---------- Post added 15-01-12 at 22:22 ---------- Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Got crackin on my engine bay sarvy, just going back to bare metal on the front of the strut towers, and going to continue hand sanding the rest since it doesn't seem too bad anywhere else. Removing the battery tray (going in the boot) prety much shows how ****ing retarded looking the sheet metal is on the pass side, and since the hole for the old CAI is there i might just cut the whole piece out and weld a new one in. Its getting there, next step i guess is to patch up the section with the holes, and remove the booster. Anybody know the easiest way to do this? Then i can start laying some bog down hate sanding bog haha Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
