hey guys dont know if its been covered before and if it has sorry searched but couldnt find anything. anyway so im putting a 304 into my vl and looks all good. but wat i wanna talk about is the manifold. how hard are they to do? my old boss got one made for his 5l ute and too me it looked like pretty much cut the bananas out and make up sort of a box then tap threads for sensors etc... a good mate of mine is a good metal worker and has access to alloy etc and he said it couldnt be too hard plus got spare manifold so if he f@ks it up.... meh. anyway has anyone tackled this themselves? i know the manifolds arent that expensive to buy but i thought give it a go i could make it to my own specs etc any thoughts/ideas? also anyone off the top of their heads how high u can go and still be able to close the bonnet?
thanx heaps in advance guys

there not that hard to make just hav to hav access to a ac/dc tig and some aluminium and hav some patience. But for all the planning and either buying or hiring a welder it would be more feasible to buy one already proven to work such as a come racing one vl/vn group a, motec etc as the research and development has already been done
ok thanx guys got access to welder aluminium and anything else ill need so ill give it go.. a friends got a come racing manifold so im pretty much just gonna use it as a template and change some peices to make it my own.

that wont work, there is alot of development that has gone on inside the manifold, yes u will make a little more power but nothing like an already proven manifold
the come style twin throttles are just not a box welded on runners
