Hey all, Have been a member for a while, been a while since i posted anything up. Its just a bog stock SL Exec, Manwell, Have had it since August '09, only one CAS failure in its life as my bitch. 230,000km's, really has never missed a beat. It's got some "OK" 17's on it, have never really done anything than routine serving and touch ups. Customery dump tip and a relatively unimpressive stereo. Purchased an RB25 VLCT write off with good running gear, Have since pulled the RB25 out and started stripping it for a freshen up and a GT35R with a screamer to give pensioners something to winge about other than skate boarding youths on the sidewalk. MX7 box is sitting downstairs and is going in the next fortnight just need some hoist time at work. As many of us unfortunate N/A owners will know, the MF5 is made of clay. Bitch be broke'd. Roadtripping from Townsville to Tamworth via the Gold Coast, so need to get it relatively presentable. Plan is decent tint, Throw in the on guts springs and shocks and paint up the 15'' chasers I also have in the junkpile. Other than that I was thinking some gauges, not particulary becuase I care about my the vitals of the grandma beaten RB30, but it's all progressive to have the car i've always wanted. Plus blue gauges are as good as flange! Have a calais interior to go in also, but in no enourmous rush to get that in as unfortunately the drivers seat has a small tear in it, and im not going to do as i have done with other elements of the car and just "throw her in". It's got nothing on FLY03L but one day right? http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl4.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl4.jpg) http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl6.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl6.jpg) http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl2.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl2.jpg) http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl1.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl1.jpg) http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl3.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl3.jpg) http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/...iCommy/vl5.jpg (http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii620/DoriCommy/vl5.jpg) ---------- Post added 13-01-12 at 20:03 ---------- By the way, the HSV seat covers aren't something i stuffed into my flano at autobarn, Im an apprentice at holden, and when HSVs get pre delivery checks they come with sweet throw overs, hope that clears up some of the bogan stereotyping im sure i will receive! Id get rid of the 17's and put on either chasers or the executive hubcaps on standard 14's.

Yeah i've got a set of 15s and will paint them up, are centre caps able to be bought from anywhere? Or are they rare?

they are if you want metal ones. but if you look on the forums you should be able to find a plastic set for 50 bucks. and some vy commys came with plastic ones so holden probably sell them too but most likely they cost a fortune. If your gonna run chasers you should also get the chrome rings for around the outside.

Yeah ill get some crome chasers, I work at Holden in NQ so staff discount at spares ****ing rules Might just hit them with a **** tonne of chrome paint. Also, does anyone know who would readily have wheel nuts that would suit steels? ie bob jane/ bridgestones etc. We only have generic shops up here and i haven't asked around yet. Might try and get some VE covers to fit over them, ill just fill the inside of the covers with nitto tape until they fit. So bodgy Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
