iv done stereos before but never with 2 amps, only the 1 sub & amp combo and never had any troubles. in my ute ive got a single 4g cable running into a fused distribution block into 2x8g cables to a sub amp and a 4 channel amp both with seperate earths. was working great until just recently i cranked it and the speakers started squeeling like crazy until i switched off the car. at the distribution block (ebay special) the side that goes to the 4 channel amp has started to melt the case and fuse but not blowing it.. it felt hot as! anyone got any suggestions? other info - i have split the remote wire to run both amps. also off the 2 channel amp i have little led light block running but this amp is not the one F***ing up jvc H/U 2x rca pre outs kicker 6"s fusion 4"s running off kicker 4 channel xplod 12" running off kicker 2 channel any help would be great! im about to make sure theres no power wires near rcas, double check and sand down earth points again.. anything else?

2 gauge to distro then split to 4gauge ..upgrade grounds to 2 gauge and battery to block ground change to at least 4gauge...current draw is higher thus creating heat

Spend some $$$ on a decent distro and you'll be fine. Also make sure your earths for the amps are connected to the same spot and of pretty much idendical length onto bare metal. Make sure your earth at your battery under the bonnet is good too. You should have no issues with a run of 4g into 2x8g for a system that size, it's not like your running a huge powerplant of amps...
