Vl Boot Trim

hey guys just wanted to found out when fitting the vl boot trim(non calais) . i noticed on the trim there is a slight lip. should that sit under the boot lid or is it best to line up the trim with the eye brow trims around the rear qtrs.

I had the lip sit slightly under the boot lid, kind of like curve underneath it, all sat perfectly across to the eyebrow trims.
