I was trying to fit my new centre bumper but found I couldn't get behind the bar to tighten the bolts ? Im probably just stupid or really tired, any help ?
Assuming you put the steel reinforcement on first, theres just the 4 bolts to do up? i found that the black plastics under there were annoying and interfered with getting the socket on the bolt head.
Yeah on the drivers side it's a real bitch with that little sphere thing. Also you may find the holes don't seem to line up properly.. the outer frames on each side kind of flex out and you have to pull them in.. maybe just my car
I thought he was talking about getting it back on the car?
It's much easier to pull the whole bumper off the car (1 bolt each side 4 at the front) and put the centre section in rather than try to fit only the centre while still no the car.. that would be a nightmare!
I was doing just the centre, if the sides were on as well there would be no chance of getting the bolts in. I've gotten the two end bolts hand tight but got no further...
Smaller bolts attaching reinforcement bar to bumper should be fitted off the car.
The four bigger bolts should be fitted with the assistance of one to two people, and YES, you might have to remove the vacum ball to ease fitment.
Well im doing everything myself so why not, its all a learning experience...
Anybody know when the next cruise is going to be ?
