I would say pull the grill off and try and get a long thin object such as a screw driver up to lever the spring away.. good luck

Or jack the car up and put your hand up though behind the bar and you will see where the wire attaches to the spring just in front of the radiator push that towards the drivers side.

If it doesn't pop easily get someone to push down on the bonnet above where the lock is while you do it... Be careful just don't dent the bonnet.

as said above get someone to push down on bonnet, use something like a screwdriver to lever the spring towards the rear, should be easy

Its just in front of the radiator on the back edge of the radiator support not the hole in the centre there's a metal tab which sticks out that's where the wire attaches to the spring you need to try get to that tab. be careful you don't poke anything into the radiator.
You need to lever the tab which is the end of the spring towards the drivers side.
How did it get like this? did the bonnet cable snap?

bonnet cable had snapped so i was running the bonnet release cable under the headlight. Took it to the mechanics and they removed the original broken cable and replaced it with a home made wire. Home made wire has fallen off the tab. I can see the tab your talking about but it doesnt move when i apply force

It will move towards the drivers side just push down on the bonnet above where the lock is to try and release some pressure while trying to push the tab across.
Its all fun and games. Just dont take to the car with a hammer these cars can have that affect on people lol.

It needs abit of pressure to move it.
get someone else to push on the bonnet while trying to move the tab or try get that bit of wire back on.

Isn't there some slot under there for a screwdriver to go for emergency?
Maybe unbolt the condensor fan for more room? Unscrew the bonnet prong maybe.

i took the grill off, found out which cable was the bonnet cable, then i got a long flathead and put something on the tip of it to make it not tso sharp, and basically pushed it (as if you were pulling the cable) and it popped.. ALSO i forgot to mention my car was coming back on a tow truck, my car keys were in the car but the battery was disconnected and the car was locked up. All i wanted to do was basically open up the bonnet (cable was fine) and reconnect the battery, then i could go inside the house, grab my spare remote to unlock the car and get my keys out. I don't know if this will help but i did this in a whole 5minutes.
