hey guys, been having a good long think about what is wrong or what to upgrade. my current setup at the moment is running 12psi with a custom built t25, n/a cam, mx7, chip torque ecu, standard injectors, avo stage 2 intercooler. the idea was to get the car off the line a lot faster for street because by the time a v8 or another turbo would catch up you run out of road around here. my problem is, im losing to a vl with a vs v6 right off the line. mate and i think he has to have diff gears in it to be able to get 2-3 car lengths in front and maintain it. we have been discussing and the only thing he thinks is the stage 2 cooler is too big for the t25 and should put a stage 1 side mount avo on instead. what else do you think could be wrong? have eliminated all the boost leaks so that cant be a cause, and dont want to go after market as cops here bust you for nothing. could also put in an avo cam and chip but not sure how that would go? any thoughts to what may be the problem also? cheers

Intercooler has nothing to do with it. Your problem is torque.. his car makes more torque than yours earlier. His engine probably tops out at 150kw, yours should be much higher like 200ish. It won't have diff gears. After the initial start you should easily go past him given the information you have provided. Either your car isn't making the power or you can't drive. First things first you need to get it on a dyno and give it a going over to make sure its making what it should.
