hey all, we had a great quality of cars turn up at the main meet, was a awesome night. numbers were down a bit than we expected, but i guess calder was on and its a week before xmas so people had commitments. we had around 100 cars at thge main meet and mananged to raise $918. great effort guys!! Thanks to all who donated for this great cause. all proceeds will be going to THE ROYAL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL MELBOURNE FOUNDATION. good to see there was a lot of tuff vl`s at this cruise. show and shine went really well and there was heaps of nice cars. the winner for the show and shine were: First Prize: Chris- DUF588 1987 Vl Calais Turbo Second Prize: Jamie- WASLS2 2006 VZ HSV Senator well done to both, it was a hard decision with so many nice cars. ALEX from jet images was our official photographer and we will be getting pics up on here and facebook soon if anyone else has got photos, please feel free to post it up on here. Once again thanks to all who made a effort to come and donate for this great cause Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Next CT cruise can there just be a VL row? As in have first part of the car park for VLs and have all the others in the section behind. I don't know about anyone else but I go on a Calais Turbo cruise to see VLs

not taking anything away from the senator but i would have thought, being a ct cruise, only vl's should win the prizes.. and i dont even drive a vl anymore.

I don't know about anyone else but I go on a Calais Turbo cruise to see VLs we could next time, but just remember those days are over where you get a lot of vl coming to a cruise in genral, there is not much vl`s left these days as well. i remember back 5 years ago when we had ct cruises we use to get 40 vl`s out of 50 cars in total at a ct cruise, as time has gone on vl`s have reduced in numbers. ---------- Post added 19-12-11 at 07:19 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by GMHO95 [View Post] Gone of the day were the vl ruled the road ahhh those were the days wen shopo to carpark was full of calais 10 15 bt1z all lined up together your could here the dosez cumn for miles its sad to say but its jst not like that anymore n i miss it. I wish i was old enough to drive in that era But had a good night nun the less even though i couldnt cruise to broadi i miss those days to, i have owned a vl of some sort for the last 10 years, as time has gone on, every cruise i go to has less and less vl`s. ---------- Post added 19-12-11 at 07:33 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by bdrftn [View Post] not taking anything away from the senator but i would have thought, being a ct cruise, only vl's should win the prizes.. and i dont even drive a vl anymore. i just want to make it clear, a ct cruise is not JUST for vl`s anymore and never has been. as you can see this cruise was open to all makes and models, it was not just a vl only cruise. when it says official calais turbo cruise, it means its a calaisturbo.com.au forum advertised cruise. all cars and members on this forum are welcome. to clarify your thought, no, a show and shine that is open to all makes and models will have the option to choice anycar thats comes to the show and shine to possibly win the prize, whats the point of inviting all sorts of cars and then not allowing those owners to to eligible to win a prize for their car. we did have our second prize on a vl, but only to see he left early, as did a lot of other vl`s. and cars, not many people stayed till the winners were annonced. as those cars left they all told me they had other commitments. at least they came to donate and have a look around!! ---------- Post added 19-12-11 at 07:35 ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by KINEZO [View Post] great to see there was some what a decent contribution to the royal children's! was good to meet you tab, and a few other blokes.. i was in the VH some sweet collections were out, hopefully some more cars come out and play next time cheers _pete wast nice to meet you pete. you sle is one clean tuff vh. sounds good too. hope to catch up soon ---------- Post added 19-12-11 at 07:36 ---------- Moer pics to come later on today!!!
