best way to clean whitewall flappers

i got them on my car about 1month ago and iv just realised that there is a a pale yellow stain starting to show up? wat ways best to try get it white again? iv been told to try JIF?

A mate of mine uses prepsol and lightly cleans them with a clean rag. But the stuff is pretty strong and can dissolve the white wall so go easy if you do use it. give it a go in a small area first before you do the whole flapper comes up like new. and the yellow stain is normally from tire shine if you use it don't put it on the white wall.

thanks guys, nahh i havnt put tyre shine on it UNLESS its from the car wash when i sprayed them with tyre and engine cleaner? jif didnt really work can u buy that prepsol at autobarn or somewere? i want to try bleach? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Jif worked a treat on my old flappers and it's what was recommended to me by antique tires

really? what do u use to wipe it on with or do u use a scower (use to clean plates etc in the kitchen)

old thread but use sard spray (its for removing stains from clothes etc) you get it in the laundry isle in the supermarket use it with a nail brush. I've used it on white shoes etc over the years makes them like new
