Looking for a turbo 400 to put behind a ls1 but having trouble finding one. Can anyone recommend a place to get one second hand or new but not to expensive. Been looking at the states as its cheap but not sure on freight. looking at a hughes transmission but not sure on quality. Can anyone help me out? cheers

Hughes or Hugo's? Hugo's does some killer drag boxes. Usually there's some on ebay but you dont really know what you're getting. An auto shop should be able to supply one. A US one should be good value as long as you buy from a reputable shop but I suppose if you ever have issues you're not going to send it back under warranty, atleast here you can take it back to a shop.

im pricing one up at the moment! it ends up fairly expensive when you factor in a custom convertor, tailshaft, getting the speedo working etc, plus a aftermarket shifter eg b&m or tci etc! i was quoted around the 6g mark that was all fitted up and driving! but that was a 800 hp rated box full manual valve body, transbrake, 4000 stally
