On my current strait gas TB42 patrol I'm running locked dizy, a petronix ignitor, Ice Ignition module and Ice ignitoin coil. Is there a simpler set-up? Can you get an ignition module (amplifier) and boost retarder in one? One that can be triggered by a petronix ignitor and still use an aftermarket coil?

Does anybody know If the msd 6BTM is what I'm talking about? I understand its a boost compensator and it has a built in rev limiter. But does it have an ignition amplifier aswell? Can I run one of these triggered by a petronix ignitor and connect it strait to a high output coil?

MSD 6AL-2, the digital programmable unit, it has features of the 6 series Amp, plus full digital control like an ECU, software almost as good as MSD digital 7 series, cheap too, remember you gotta buy the MAP sensor seperate. I think the part number is 6530, suggest you buy the coil and map with it, from summit or jegs its pretty cheap deal for what you get.

I Have just looked up the MSD 6AL-2 on the msd site and read through the installation instruction and it still shows it being set up with a seperate timing control. Should i disreguard the installation instructions? Can you set them up with a boost retard? I will read through the instructions with the 6BTM and see what info I can find ---------- Post added 09-12-11 at 00:05 ---------- My Bad I didn't fully read on DIGITAL PROGRAMABLE. Thanks very much for the info. I only wish these were around when I originally done mine.
