So I'm in the process of buying King Ultra Lows. I did a search and couldn't find on this topic so don't burn me if it's been asked before; I couldn't find any info. I read somewhere on another site (but couldn't find it again) that it's not necessary to buy new shocks all round when you lower your car, only front or rear (I can't remember what one it was). Is this true, that you only need shortened shocks in the front/rear to keep the springs trapped, the original shocks are fine at either the front/rear? Thanks

You will need short stroke shocks for the rear, and it is highly recommended you buy new ones for the front at the same time. You will also need an adjustable panhard rod I also recommend replacing the bushes at the same time as 20+ year old rubber isn't very much like rubber anymore

Alright thanks for that nz. I've already got an adj panhard rod sitting here waiting for my springs! Will look into bushes. Thanks again mate.

Your shocks should be matched to the rate of the springs, and shocks springs should be replaced as a complete set (front and rear, not just one).
